  • Mom-identifying founder who is a legal resident of Canada and of the age of majority; Quebec residents are not eligible
  • Owns or operates a business, or intends to operate one, in the Canadian market
  • Current total annual sales under C$2,000,000
  • Has worked on a viable business for at least the past year; past Top 5 finalists cannot apply

What founders should check

  1. The programme does not publish how much equity it takes. Ask before you accept a place.
  2. There is a fee: C$35 entry fee plus processing fees and taxes; the separate business awards have their own fee.
  3. It does not say whether it runs in person or remotely. Ask before you plan a move.
  4. Applications are open until 15 November 2026. That is less than a month away, so start the form now.
