Usual timing: Accelerate usually runs in March and the Launch finale follows in spring; dates for those stages are not yet published.

Who can apply

  • Every team needs at least one currently registered MIT student
  • Non-MIT team members are welcome
  • External funding caps: US$100,000 for Pitch, US$150,000 for Accelerate, US$250,000 for Launch
  • No equity sold to outside parties, apart from student-led venture funds (Accelerate and Launch only)
  • Stage: idea, pre-seed

What founders should check

  1. The programme says it takes no equity. Still read the agreement for warrants, revenue shares or rights in a later round.
  2. It does not publish a fee. Ask whether you pay for desks, services or the programme itself.
  3. It runs in person in Cambridge. Plan to be there for the length of the programme.
  4. Applications are open until 28 October 2026. That is less than a month away, so start the form now.
