Usual timing: Runs twice a year, with cut-off dates on the last Sunday of May and November.

Who can apply

  • Person-in-charge is an HKU student, staff member, alumnus or affiliate aged 18+ with a Hong Kong ID, or a director of an HKU IP licensee
  • HKU members hold at least 20% of the company's equity
  • Hong Kong limited company under 24 months old at programme start, or incorporated after approval
  • A deep tech venture backed by R&D and a clear commercialisation plan
  • Stage: idea, pre-seed

What founders should check

  1. The programme does not publish how much equity it takes. Ask before you accept a place.
  2. It does not publish a fee. Ask whether you pay for desks, services or the programme itself.
  3. It runs in person in Hong Kong. Plan to be there for the length of the programme.
  4. Applications are open until 29 November 2026.
